About Colecraft Boats
Because we have quite a large selection of used Colecraft narrowboats for sale at Whilton Marina at the moment I thought it appropriate to write a short blog about them.
Colecraft are regarded as one of the best builders of quality steel inland waterway craft in the UK. Colecraft are a family company who have been established for about 35 years and they are located only about 18 miles away from Whilton Marina in the village of Long Itchington near Southam in Warwickshire. During that time Colecraft have been building quality steel Narrowboats. Many their boats are designed and built to custom for individual customers. Colecraft can build any size of narrow boat, wide beam boat, sailaway narrowboat, butty, barge, trip boat or working boat. They also supply many other narrowboat builders with steel shells ready for them to fit out. Colecraft use design software to design their boats to individual customer requirements and they are happy to build to any stage of completion from just an unfitted steel narrow boat hull to finished to a luxury fitted out boat.
Colecraft were commissioned to build the ten water taxis for the London 2012 Olympics which were used to transport passengers along the River Thames to the Olympic site.
