Back to Work

<< Back to Blog list

We have been back to work now for 3 days and we have been very busy, hence my lack of words on the Blog. We sold three narrowboats on our first day back and one today, not a bad start to the year.

Today three of us are looking after the Customers, Charles is busy explaining the differences between the stern types and the advantages of each, this link might help if you are not sure,  Dave is talking with the last owner of narrowboat Goldie about the new owner getting her grounded in the summer when the pound on the canal was very low, it took 5 of us to get her floating.

I better take the opportunity to wish everyone a happy and healthy 2009 from me and all the team here at Whilton.

We have plenty to look forward to in 2009 not mentioning to much this early in the year but we already have the dates for the Crick Boat Show, our January Sale is up and running, bacon roles and coffee at the Lock gate café and warmer weather to come, to mention just a few things we can look forward to.

Until Next Time

Just found your blog - I say chaps thats a bit unfair, I did'nt her her grounded - she was on her mooring at Whilton and I arrived to find her stuck. Anyway, as you say we got her off, damn fine service from the chaps at Whilton. ...
