You may have noticed that the front page of our web site looks slightly different and some buttons have moved position, this is due to our web site upgrade.  However the web site works exactly the same as previously and you shouldn't have any problems navigating your way around.

Coming soon,......The History Of Whilton MarinaI am writing a new page for our webite about the history of Whilton Marina, it's construction and development.  I'm also hoping to add some old photographs and newspaper cutting's, although it's taking me some time to go through boxes searching for them and pinning Nigel & Richard down for information is not an easy task either.  I'm hoping to add a bit of interest to our web site for all those narrowboating enthusiasts that may be int....

There seems no let up in the icy cold Siberean weather.  We still have around 5 inches thickness of ice covering the water on our marina.  Nowhere for the ducks to go! and no way can we move any of our narrowboats across the marina down to the floating dock for maintence or survey work!  They say that  when the snow doesn't melt, that it's just laying around waiting for more.  Let's hope that's not the case and that it thaws sooon.Til next blog...........Sue

Well the ice eased off enough after Christmas for my wife and I to cruise down to The Wharf at Bugbrook, it took two and a half hours from Whilton Marina, the ice had broken but there were still some very large sheets. Although it was cold outside, we were nice and warm with the wood burning stove lit. Good trip back with friends, stopping off at the Narrowboat pub at Weedon for a winter warmer, then back to Whilton Marina just before nightfall. A welcome change from watching TV. The foreca....
