A narrowboat called Millicent has just arrived on brokerage at Whilton. She is a 50ft traditional style boat built by Harbourough Boats in 1992 and is powered by a BMC 1.8 diesel engine. For more information please see:Narrowboat Millicent

I thought I should share some photos of the Whilton Marina Team producing a Narrowboat from a box (well a container) This series of photos shows a Whilton Marine 44 emerging from its container. This is the first time we have done this and it was great work by all the Whilton Engineering Team Barry Tuckey and his crane, Richard and I. We cruised to the Cropredy Music Festival last month, the South Oxford is mainly a contour canal and is outstandingly beautiful if a little shallow in places. Cropredy is a really attractive village, each August, Fairport Convention stage a Music festival. This year there were about 16,000 visitors, the atmosphere (despite the rain) was excellent. the whole village appears to get involved in oneway or another and we felt really welcome. The last couple of weeks here at Whilton Marina have been extremley busy, selling narrow boats, taking new boats onto brokerage and of course we had a stand at the National IWA boatshow last Bank Holiday weekend.We have had quite a turn around of the boats during August with several sales completed and have taken onto brokerage another 20 narrowboats during the last two weeks.Keep an eye on our web site as the stock of narrowboats is contantly changing.
