We have been very busy here at the Marina so our blog posts are a bit behind, I must firstly say thank you to Chris Durham for his reply to a blog posted back on the 4th January. In the blog it did state that he had grounded his new narrow boat Goldie, which I have to confess is not strictly true…

The full story is that some individuals had left the lock paddles open on the first set of locks south (Stoke Bruerne) of here, this had the caused the pound to drop by a good four inches, hence Goldie ended up on the bottom of the canal, rather than Chris running his boat aground. Chris I hope this clears your good narrow boating name.
