So today is the last day of the month and it is already feeling quite autumnal!   Despite this summers bad weather, this month we have sold a total of 25 canal boats!The narrowboats range from Shananagans a 2008, 60ft Traditional Style Narrowboat built by BWK Shipyards to Nipper a 1997, 30ft, Traditional Style Narrowboat built by R&D.  We have also started to collate and upload our feeback from our customers by scanning it in and adding it on our website.  That way y....

We've been very busy over the last few weeks selling narrowboats!  Last month we sold 19 canal boats.  Don't forget we are still offering a reduced rate to sell your narrowboat for you at 5% plus VAT and a minimum charge of £1,250 plus VAT.  Take a look at this link to find out more.Our new Narrowboat sales base at Venetian Marina has been selling quite a few boats and it has been getting very busy.  We've now got around 15 boats for sale up there (and increasing!)....

Whilton Marina will be closing it's narrowboat sales office at Wigrams Turn Marina on Friday 24th August 2012 and any boats that are not sold by then will be transferred over to Whilton Marina, with the exception of narrowboat Gypsy which will stay at Wigrams because it is a lived on by the owner.For more information about the closure please click on the following link.

Toni one of our narrowboat sales team at Whilton Marina retired last week.  Everyone gathered for his leaving do at his local; The Plume of Feathers in Weedon last Monday night, where he was presented with some hedge cutting tools, (as he is planning to do a hedge laying course).  Toni was also our much loved 'Harbour Master' at Whilton Marina, nicknamed so because he was also responsible for moving the narrowboats around in the sales b....

A safety reminder to all narrowboaters; clean your mushroom vents! Ventilation on a narrowboat is vital for boat safety, without ventilation you could die of carbon monoxide poisoning. When a fire burns in an enclosed area, the oxygen is gradually used up and replaced with carbon dioxide. Following a build-up of carbon dioxide in the air, the fuel is prevented from burning fully and it starts to release carbon monoxide which can build up inside a small space such as a narrow ....

Woops, Andy and Dave got caught out in the heavy downpour of rain yesterday.  They went to move some sold narrowboats out of the sales basin yesterday to get them ready for their new owners.  When they left the office it was beautifully sunny and warm, so they didn't bother with any coats or fleeces, big mistake! by the time they had cruised into the middle of the marina the heavens had opened and they were two very soggie boys! Let me say they weren't singing in the rain!!Andy&nb....
