Congratulations to Mr P Gates who has won the second prize in our free Crick Boat Show prize draw.   He came into the office today to collect his prize from Whilton Marina's Abi Steele.   The Whilton Team hope he enjoys his prize!Take a look at the picture below.

Did anyone see the documentary called 'The Golden Age of Canals last night'?  It was great to look back at the history of the IWA.  If you missed the programme, it's definately worth a look!  Its currently on BBC Iplayer.

The Heart of the Shires Shopping Village isn't far from Whilton.  You can even get to it by boat!

 Yesterday we collected a narrow boat on the Chelma & Blackwater River in Essex, moving the boat along 14 miles of river and negotiationg 6 locks.  The boat is being craned into our marina tomorrow lunchtime and will be for sale for £29,950.'Maybe Baby' is a 40ft cruiser style canal boat built by Liverpool Boats in 2003

Whilton Marina lies between the two longest tunnels on the Grand Union Canal; Braunston Tunnel to our north and Blisworth to our south.

The first pub north of Whilton Marina by canal is the New Inn at the top lock! Lovely day for sitting out in the pub garden and narrowboating!
