The crane has been at Whilton again today lifting several boats out for work and craning another narrowboat into othe marina to be brought up for sale. See the brochure for narrowboat 'Imedit' £34,950 which is a 60ft traditional style built in 1997.

Today Whilton Marina was one of the cryptic answers to the Treasure Quest featured on BBC radio Northamptons 9am till 12pm show.  Annabel Amos came to the Marina to interview Abi Steele, to lean more about Whilton Marina's History as we are currently celebrating our 40th Anniversary.  We even gave them a couple of bottles of our Whilton Marina branded wine!The cryptic clues were 'this place is located between the railway and the canal' and 'the year of decimilisation and ....

A second hand canal boat called 'Sweaty Betty' has just come onto brokerage with us at Whilton Marina.  I'ts rather an unfortunate name for a narrowboat which is actually full of character and is a nice tidy boat, so don't be put off by it's name!Just see for yourself!

All the Spring flowers have started to come out here at Whilton Marina!  Finally winter seems to be drawing to a close.  Take a look at a couple of photos that we have taken.  You can even see Narrowboat Kiwi Bach in the background.

Did anyone see that programme 'The Boat That Guy Built' on BBC2 last night?  Here at Whilton Marina we are really interested in the show but would like to see more footage of Guy doing up his boat!Maybe this programme has inspired you to buy a narrowboat?  Well come and see what Whilton Marina have to offer!If you missed it you can take a look on BBC Iplayer.

Marina Dredging finishes at last!!The marina has been dredged this winter, this was last done about 15 years ago.  The operation took a good four months because it was hampered by the icy weather earlier in the winter. The ice needed breaking most mornings before the dredgers could start work.  The moorers narrowboats were moved out of each pontoon in turn so that the dredger could work accross the marina methodically.  The water was pumped out o....

Yesterday we had a delivery of five new 'Ruby Edition' narrowboats arrive from China.  The boats arrived one after the other in large containers on the back of lorries.  It was a slick operation, with the crane arriving first and each lorry arriving in turn one after the other from about 11am until 4pm.  Each lorry took it's turn to be offloaded of it's narrowboat cargo, then each boat was craned into our marina.  The delivery consisted of three 39ft narrowboat....
