Storage Container Terms & Conditions


  • All contents of the self-storage containers are to be fully comprehensively insured by the hirer.
  • All self-storage accounts are to be paid in advance, and accounts must be paid within 14 days of the date of the invoice.
  • Any storage account that is more than one month in arrears, Whilton Marina Ltd reserve the right to sell the contents without the obligation to obtain the best possible price and after deduction of the cost of such a sale retain the residue of the proceeds in payment of all charges due to Whilton Marina Ltd.
  • No refund is given during the storage period. 
  • In the absence of any written agreement or arrangement to the contrary, Whilton Marina Ltd reserves the right to terminate the self-storage by giving one months’ notice in writing to the last known address of the owner.
  • Self-storage containers are to be used for storage purposes only.
  • All content is left at owner’s risk.
  • No highly flammable liquids or liquids that are likely to cause contamination are to be stored.
  • Security Locks are to be provided by the Hirer.
  • Access is only given to the Hirer.
  • No livestock to be stored
  • The storage compound opening hours are as follows: 9am to 5pm, 7 days a week during the winter period. 9am to 5-30pm, 7 days a week during the summer period. Closed for Christmas from 1pm on Christmas eve until 9am on 2nd January. * Summer and winter periods are defined as when the clocks change.
