We cruised to the Cropredy Music Festival last month, the South Oxford is mainly a contour canal and is outstandingly beautiful if a little shallow in places. Cropredy is a really attractive village, each August, Fairport Convention stage a Music festival. This year there were about 16,000 visitors, the atmosphere (despite the rain) was excellent. the whole village appears to get involved in oneway or another and we felt really welcome. We will definitely go again next year and would recommend it to any boaters looking for an August destination. In September we are hoping to go up the Leicester arm, Foxton locks and beyond!
