Our 9,000 square foot boat workshop is capable of holding three 70ft narrowboats simultaneously for maintenance works undercover. It is fully equipped for undertaking works to new and used narrowboats or widebeams.
Our Wise 40 tonne motorised Hoist, which we named Hercules, is used to lift and transport the widebeam or narrowboat into the new refurbishment workshop. It is capable of lifting 40 tonnes and up to 72ft long x 12 ft wide boats, with four wheel steering.
A new wharf was constructed to allow the Wise Hoist to manoeuvre over the water and lift out narrowboats when surveys are required. This enables us to react quickly to demands on site, which also speeds up the sales process.
The workshop, wharf and boat lifting facility is designed to hugely assist our customers through the narrowboat buying and selling process, and make us one of the most successful one-stop shops on the canal network; where you can buy a narrow boat, moor it, maintain and repair it, and if you need to sell your narrow boat on, we can sell it for you on brokerage, offer you cash for your boat or part exchange with another boat from either of our marinas.
This significant investment was designed to strengthen our position and commitment as the Number One UK sales outlet for used narrowboats. We invested £900,000 in these facilities, wharf and boat lift, showing that we are confident about our future in narrowboat sales and the future of our marina.
Our workshop is available for customers to book their boat in for the following work: pressure washing, blacking, fitting new anodes, replating and stern gear work. These can be booked by calling us on 01327 842577. Blacking Charges Price List
Blacking your narrow boat or widebeamed boat can be quite time consuming and something that you may not want to do yourself. We have excellent undercover facilities on site and are happy to undertake blackings on narrowboats and widebeamed boats.

A 50% deposit of the cost of the work to be undertaken will be charged in advance with the full balance payable on the day of completion.
