The two slip ways are purpose built and are used on a regular basis by surveyors to conduct out of water survey. As part of the sales process you can book and pay for the slip way by paying a slip fee which covers the cost of getting the boat in and out of the water.

Slip ways are also used to complete out of water maintenance such as blacking, fitting anodes, or propeller repairs.

Many older boats can be given a new lease of life if after a survey the hull is found to have “pitted” The marinas engineering department has a covered hard standing area where boats can be craned on to and protected during the over-plating process.

The two covered docks are fully equipped floating workshops where the engineering department carry out every aspect of boat repair and maintenance.

Our team of engineers can carry out all aspects of narrowboat repair, from a simple service to a full stern gear replacement.

We have a CORGI registered gas fitter who visits the site once a week to ensure all our gas work is compliant with the latest Safety Standards.

After a busy day looking at boats visit The Lock Gate Cafe for a nice cup of tea and a cake.
