Wet Docks and Slipways at Whilton Marina
decor

We have two slipways which are purpose built and are used on a regular basis by surveyors to conduct out of water surveys.  As part of the sales process you can book and pay for the slipway by paying a slip fee which covers the cost of getting the boat in and out of the water for a hull survey.

We have two covered wet docks on site enabling narrowboats to be worked on whilst under cover without the need to be craned out of the water.

We also have a large boat refurbishment workshop on site which is capable of holding three 70ft narrowboats simultaneously for maintenance works and blackings. It is fully equipped for the undertaking of maintenance works to new and used narrowboats or widebeamed boats;  to include stern tube renewal, new window installations, renewal of gas lockers, wiring, painting, engine installations, hull replating and refurbishment works enabling us to work on narrow boats out of the water and under cover.

Our Wise motorised Hoist is used to lift and transport boats into the workshop. It is capable of lifting 40 tonnes and up to 72ft long x 12 ft wide boats, with four wheel steering.
