London to the Chiltern Hills. Walk, Jog, or Run it. Happening on the 27/28 June 2015

A fantastic event is going to be held on the 27th and 28th of June along the Grand Union Canal, which just happens to be the longest waterway in Britain and right on our door step!

On the 27th June Saturday morning walkers, runners and joggers will set off from Central London at Little Venice and start the 100km trip all the way to the Chiltern Hills.

They will travel along the towpath through fantastic country side taking in the wonders of the canal system. Now you may not fancy walking, jogging or running the route, but you could cruise it!

Cruising Along The Grand Union Canal

There's plenty to see along the Grand Union Canal. Starting from the heart of London, it leads you out into the rolling Chiltern Hills, through rural Northamptonshire & Warwickshire and into the Birmingham suburbs.

A Few Wonderful Sights You Will See Along The Way:

  • The magnificent Iron Trunk Aqueduct
  • Hatton Lock Flight
  • The Canal Museum at Stoke Bruerne
  • The Paddington Arm runs through a lively and attractive area of West London
  • The Slough Arm is an unexpectedly green and rural bit of canal, passing through the pretty town of Iver.
